The 35th Annual Piney Woods Arts Festival is sponsored by the Coffee County Arts Alliance.  If you have any questions about the Festival, please telephone David Deal at 334-406-1617. 

 

For artists and craftsmen who wish to participate, the Arts Alliance has a limited number of spaces available at $30.00 per day, a total of $60.00.

Student award money and ribbons are offered to Junior and Senior High School students from Coffee County, as well as EOCC art students.

Guaranteed Purchases and Cash Certificates are provided by individuals and businesses; these totaled approximately $3,000 in 2006.

 

Rules and Information

Eligibility:

1.  All art work must be original, created by the artist.  *This means handmade - and not made by hands from another country.  In an effort to protect artistic originality, purchased, manufactured or kit objects are not acceptable.  In any dispute, your money will be cheerfully refunded.

2.  The artist is expected to be present during the entire show unless pre-approved.

3.  Art works which received awards at previous CCAA festivals are not eligible for judging.

4.  Reproductions of paintings or drawings must be labeled "Reproduction."  They may be sold but not judged.

5.  The Festival Committee reserves the right to reject any work it feels inappropriate to this show.

6.  To be eligible for cash prizes, you must display both days.

Exhibit Information:

1.  Set-up time:  Friday 2-6:00 p.m., Saturday, 7-8:30 a.m., Sunday, 10 to 12:00 noon

2.  Electricity is not available.

3.  Arts and crafts cannot be displayed in the same booth.

4.  Only two exhibitors may share a space, unless pre-approved.

5.  No displays may be removed before 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

6.  Be prepared with plastic in case of rain.  The festival will not move indoors.

7.  Vendors will be responsible for their applicable license fees.  Sales tax information will be in the welcome packets.

9.  Prize money will be awarded on Saturday at the artist party.
